PROCESS DESCRIPTION

Various food products are brought together in mixers. Without adequate cooling, the product will be warmed by the mixing process. In order to compensate for this heat and/or to cool the product, mixers are equipped with cooling systems. These systems vary between direct and indirect cooling.

Temperature increases during mixing has to be compensated by appropriate cooling which is often done with cryogenic gases.
